Delhi Police “Lost Report” Android App – File Lost Article/Document Report via Mobile

Delhi Police has launched a new “Lost Report” Android App which can
be used to file report with Delhi Police if you have lost any
article/document in Delhi . Earlier to file a lost report you had to go
to the local police station and minimum 1-2 hours were wasted in filing
a lost report . Like the police station lost reports , there will be no
inquiry or investigation for such reports filed via the app , but you
can use them as legal document wherever required . If you think that
your belongings were not lost but stolen , then you will have to go to
the police station to file a FIR .
After lodging the report you will get a LR no. which can be used to get the duplicate documents or for preventing misuse of the articles/documents (like in case of lost PAN card) . Samsung Galaxy S5 - It's here
Samsung has unpacked it's much awaited Samsung Galaxy S5 in Barcelona, Spain. Few of rumours turns true but most remain side. Let's have a close look on it.
Design and Display :
Rumours were, it will have bezel less display and 2K resolution but none turn true. Galaxy S5, more or less looks like Galaxy S4. Galaxy S5 has 5.1 Inch Full HD 1080P AMOLED display. However it has changed it's back cover. Now, it has matte soft-touch dotted back cover but yes, it's still plastic.
If we talk about it's dimensions, the Galaxy S5 measures 142mm x 72.5mm x 8.1mm and weight 145 grams.
It will be available in four colors : Electical Blue, Charcoal Black, Shimmery White and Charcoal Goal.
New Interface:
As, we had seen in teaser, Samsung Galaxy S5 has all new interface or I must say a new updated Samsung's TouchWiz. It definitely have fresh look and feel which will take your attention instantly.
Processor and RAM :
As Galaxy S5 will be flagship device for Samsung so rumours were it will come with octa-core processor and 3 GB RAM but none turns true. It has 2.5 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor which is complemented by 2GB RAM. Rumours were Samsung working on 64bit architecture and S5 will come with 64 bit processor but nope, it has 32 bit processor not 64 bit.
Camera :
It has 16mp rear camera with autofocus and led flash and 2mp front camera. Samsung's cameras are good in outdoor shot but not produce good quality in low lights. However as per Samsung, " This is the fastest ever autofocus camera for a smartphone".
Fingerprint and Heart rate scanner :
As said above, few rumours turns true. Samsung comes with Fingerprint scanner and Heart rate scanner. The scanner integrates into the home button. Samsung also done a partnership with Paypal which means this Fingerprint scanner could be use for authentication of payments.
At back, it has Heart rate Scanner that parts and parcel with camera flash. You need to hold your finger over it to take your pulse. The area glows red when activated and ties into the S Health App. So now S Health is now new Health Coach which reminds you pedometer and give you exercise tracker.
Water Proof :
One another major feature available in Galaxy S5 is waterproofing. It is rated by IP67. It is sealed to prevent from dust and water for as long as 30 minutes inside.
Battery :
Galaxy S5 has 2800 mAh battery who as per samsung optimzed in that manner so it can easily give 21 hours of talk time.
Connectivity :
At the connectivity end, there is both 4G LTE( supporting category 4) and fifth generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 2X2 MiMo. Also there a feature called Download Booster which used both Wi-Fi and 4G simultaneously to download much faster.
Storage :
Galaxy S5 will be available in two storage variant 16 GB and 32 GB Internal storage which can be expanded up to 64 GB with help of microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy S5 - Unpacking on February 24
As the date of Mobile
World Congress (MWC) approaching, rumours for Samsung Galaxy S5 are going high.
Let's talk what we are expecting and what will have in Galaxy S5.
Design and Display
As following trend
screen size will be big, somewhere around 5.3 Inches. Galaxy S4 has a full hd
screen so Galaxy S5 is expected to come in 2K(2560x1440p) resolution with
high pixel density.One more thing that we are hearing is, it will have a
bezel-less display. Also, an upgraded version of TouchWiz UI. At back it will
surely use it's material pleather (which is made of plastic and leather). We are also seeing new kind of icons so we can expect a new interface.

How to manually update Andriod 4.4.1 update
Disclaimer : It is always recommended to install updates through OTA. Try at your own risk.
If you want to do the manual update on either a Nexus 4 or Nexus 7 (LTE), you'll need to make sure your device is running Android 4.4 build KRT16S, then follow below steps :

Rename the package you've downloaded to "update.zip" (no quotes)
Place the update.zip package into the Android SDK/platform-tools folder on your computer (do not unzip it).
Power off your Nexus Device.
Hold down the volume up, volume down and power buttons when turning on your Nexus Device
Your Nexus Device should startup into the fastboot menu, when you see that connect your Nexus Device to your computer via USB.
Use the volume up/down keys to navigate to "Recovery mode", then press the power button to boot into recovery.
When the Android with the red exclamation point appears, press the power and volume up buttons at the same time. This should open the recovery menu.
Use the volume up/down keys to select "apply update from ADB," then press power to select it.
On your computer, open up a command prompt or terminal window.
Using the command line, navigate to the Android SDK/platform-tools folder on your computer

Micromax comes with it's first FHD (1080 X 1920) smartphone named Micromax Canvas Turbo features a 5-inch IPS display. It is powered by 1.5 Ghz quad-core MediaTek 6589T (Turbo) processor with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. It has inbuilt storage of 16 GB but no microSD expansion slot.
The rest of the Canvas Turbo specs include a 13MP rear camera with a LED flash and 1080p video recording, a 5MP front camera. It has all connectivity features like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and huge 2000 mAH battery.

iPad Air features a stunning 9.7-inch Retina display in a new thinner and lighter design. As claimed by Apple, iPad Air is 20% thinner, 28% lighter and has 43% smaller bezels than last year launched new iPad which allows the battery to be even smaller, helping reduce the overall volume by 24% from previous generation while doubling its performance and maintaining its up to 10-hours battery life. It packs with new iOS 7 running on 64 bit desktop-class Apple A7 chip and weight just one pound. iPad Air comes with 5MP rear iSight camera, and 1.2MP front-facing HD camera for Face-time with improved backside illumination sensors features larger pixels for better low-light performance.
The iPad Air will be available in stores from 1st November 2013 in colors - Space Grey and Silver. It will be available at price of $ 499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB , $699 for 64GB and $799 for 128GB wifi models. The wifi and 4G models will cost another $130 over and above that in case of each model.
The new iPad mini also comes with Retina display and has twice screen resolution than the first model at 2048 X 1539 in the same 7.9-inch display. It also runs on 64bit A7 chip-set and packed with iOS 7.iPad mini will also have 5MP iSight and 1.2MP front camera for Face-time. Samsung has become India's most attractive brand in Mobile World - Survey
Samsung Mobile has emerged as the most attractive brand in the country according to 'India's Most Attractive Brand 2013', a research-based report by Trust Research Advisory (TRA).
The report is based on primary research conducted with 2,505 'consumer-influencers' from across 16 cities based on TRA's proprietary matrix of 36 brand attractive traits.
Samsung has emerged as the most attractive brand followed by Sony and Nokia, according to the report. These three brands are very close together with just 2% gap between each other, it said.
"India's top 10 attractive brands include two mobile phone brands, two consumer electronics brands, three from the diversified category, one each from FMCG, automobile and technology categories," TRA chief executive N Chandramouli told reporters here.
Following at the fourth place is LG, the South Korean consumer electronics leader with 8 per cent attractiveness score lag from the previous. Placed at India's fifth rank is India's home-grown conglomerate, Tata, trailing its predecessor by 11%.
At the all India level, Lux, the bath/beauty brand from the HUL stable ranks sixth nearly 48% behind Tata in attractiveness quotient, the report said.
"The next four brands are within single-digit gaps of each other with Maruti Suzuki ranked seventh, Godrej ranked eighth, Bajaj ranked ninth, and Dell the technology leader, ranked tenth most attractive brand," Chandramouli said.
In Western India, the attractiveness quotients are quite different from national scores with Sony being ranked as west zone's most attractive brand.
This is followed by LG at second place, Tata at third, and Samsung Mobile as western India's fourth most attractive brand.
Mumbai's choices for the top three attractive brands are Sony, LG and Tata respectively, according to the report.

Sony released new Firmware update for Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z1 Ultra - Feature includes better battery performance and improved camera.
Sony has announced new firmware update for it's two top of the line Super smart phones. The company notes in a blog post, “After these products started hitting markets, we listened closely to feedback and looked at how we could refine the build quality. As you know, we’re keen to ensure that all our software is as good as it can possibly be, so we’ve addressed & improved on a few things…”
The company has also released change log for the update that reveals the Xperia Z1 will be getting an improved camera algorithm for better performance and refined Sony's Smart Social Camera platform that the company hopes to improve performance of Xperia Camera apps (particularly Burst Mode, Superior Auto, AR Effect and Sweep Panorama).On the other hand, the Sony Xperia Z Ultra gets improved optimized touchscreen sensitivity that would work with finger gestures, writing or sketching with pencils, metal pens and even selected styluses.
Further, both the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra will be getting some common changes, including a re-calibrated display to enhance viewing experiences; economized power consumption for longer battery life, and streamlined Exchange connection for faster email sync, display and download.
The update is starting to roll out now to unlocked devices, but the timing across the world may vary. Carrier versions of the Z1 and Z Ultra in some regions may wait a bit longer, though.
Nexus - Prices Leaked from Japan
The upcoming Google Nexus 5 has been
leaked several times already, showing off what is expected to be the
first Android 4.4 KitKat-running device.

of Japanese retailer redstar reveals that the Nexus 5 will be hitting
retail on November 14, for the price of 44,600 yen ($460) for the 16GB
model, and 49,800 yen ($513) for the 32GB model.

Apple has
announced it sold a record-breaking nine million new iPhone 5S andiPhone
5C models, just three days after the launch of the new iPhones on
September 20.
In addition, more than 200 million iOS devices are now running the completely redesigned iOS 7, making it the fastest software upgrade in history, according to the company. Both iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are available in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK.
"This is our best iPhone launch yet -―more than nine million new iPhones sold ―- a new record for first weekend sales," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "The demand for the new iPhones has been incredible, and while we've sold out of our initial supply of iPhone 5S, stores continue to receive new iPhone shipments regularly. We appreciate everyone's patience and are working hard to build enough new iPhones for everyone."
With sales figures crossing 9 million units, Apple has beaten the expectations of analysts. KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo estimated sales of 6-8 million new iPhones, while Piper Jeffrey's Gene Munster expected 5-6 million in first weekend sales.
